Good-bye Pinkies

Aside from the fact that they "hooked up" with the frat boys (sluts, lol) I was actually rooting for Danielle and Dani last night on The Amazing Race. I was kind of hoping it would be a non-elimination leg. I felt so bad that they got yeilded by Michelle and Lake. I can't stand him. What the crap kind of name is Lake anyway? So we say good-bye to the girls and hope the frat boys won't feel too lonely without them.

Dragon pic of the week

So, my little guy just started holding his own bottle when he eats. Although sometimes he is too lazy. He also likes to "practice" when the bottle is empty. You hand the empty bottle to him and he tries to put it in his mouth. It is just the dang cutest thing.

Go nerds!!

So, I am an Amazing Race addict. However, this season has been a little dissapointing for me. It seems to lack that element of intense competition that previous seasons have had. It seems like everyone wants to be all helpful and friendly. GRRRR! But it entertains me anyway. My favorite teams though are the "hippies" (BJ & Tyler) and the "nerds" (Dave & Lori). I think BJ & Tyler might actually stand a good chance even though they are so laid back about it all. I don't think Dave & Lori will last too much longer, but every week they don't get eliminated I cheer "Go nerds!"

Make it end

Remember the movie Groundhog's Day? When someone asks Bill Murry for his prediction concerning winter he says "It is going to dark, it's going to be cold and it is going to last you the rest of your life". That is exactly how I feel. I am so sick of winter. I want warmth and sunshine. I want to be able to sleep under one blanket instead of curled up under 3 layers every night. I want to cuddle up in a blanket and watch TV because it is fun, not because I am freezing my butt off. I want to drink hot chocolate because it tastes good, not because I need to warm up. I want to take my baby for a walk and have to worry about sunscreen rather than bundling him up. I want to wear flip-flops and capris and short sleeves. I want to have to stress about how white my legs are and wonder who is going to mow the lawn that is so long we can't find the cat (ok, I don't have a cat). I want to plant flowers and lay on the grass staring at the clouds. Oh, winter, please, just go away.

So my baby is 5 months old today. I know it sounds cliche, but it seems like just yesterday we were hanging out in the hospital waiting for him to make his appearance. I can't believe how big he has gotten. He truly is a joy.
