How could you not like the hippies?

I kind of liked Monica and Joseph (MoJo) until last night. They seemed pretty cool and nice and all that. Then they started ragging on the hippies. What was that all about? Saying "Those guys are screwed. I love it," and "How annoying." I really would like to know what exactly happened at the pit stop to cause this sudden hatred. I understand them not giving money to the hippies, even though some of the other teams did, but why the heck were they being so snotty? Anyway, they are on my list now. At this point they are the only team that if they won I would be pissed. But I think the frat boys will win it anyway. On a sadder note, Fran and Barry (the old couple) came in last and were eliminated. Not that I loved them, (she was a bit whiney), but I enjoyed them simple because they were so kind to each other and not once did they argue. They seemed like they were having a good time and truly enjoying the race and each other. I just had to laugh when they got the hotel and ended up staying (with other people) in a room called the Pleasure Dome. Barry made the comment that the race had ruined their sex life. I was thinking, "um, hello, PLEASURE DOME." Anyway when they got eliminated Barry said the nicest thing about Fran: “The thing about Fran is that she doesn’t know still to this day at 61 how unique and how special she really is.” I actully got teary-eyed.

I'm still alive!!

Happy Birthday to me. I am officially 33. So, I guess the prophecy was wrong. I didn't die at 32 after all. Maybe I just read it wrong and it really said 35. Hmmm, I'll let you know in three more years. Anyway, I feel old and I am kind of freaking out a bit. I know everyone says the big 30 is hard, but for some reason I sailed through that and I think 33 is hard. Oh well, I'm still here, so it's all good.

Mmmmm, green beans

This week Drake got to discover the joys of green beans. From the look on his face, I think he feels the same way about them as I do. Maybe he'll like carrots better.

It's Amazing

So I missed The Amazing Race last week and had withdrawals all week. However, I did hear that Lake and Michelle got eliminated and I could not be happier. I could not stand them. He was just a jerk and she hardley stood up for herself. Drove me crazy. I did however watch their little interview on the Today's Show and I just wanted to smack them both when they said "this is just how our relationship works". Idiots!! Anyway, I did watch it this week and all I have to say is hurray for those non-elimination legs. Watching The Amazing Race last night I felt so bad for the hippies. They were the first ones at the Road block, then all the other teams came and went and they were still there searching through those stupid mounds for their dinner, which really didn't look like it would taste too good. I think I would have just said to heck with this, I'm going back to that McDonald's we passed. Then, the frat boys got lost I was so excited because I thought they would come in last for once. But alas, it was not to be. When the hippies got to the mat and Phil told them it was a non-elimination leg, I cheered. (Yes, it scared the crap out of my boy.) I am just so happy that I get to see their joyfulness for at least one more week.

Dragon pic of the week

I had a really hard time trying to decide which picture to post this week because I took so many with it being Easter and all, but I finally settled on this one simply because Drake looks so excited in it. We went to the Dr. for his 6th month check-up today. He is 18 lbs, 10 oz, which the Dr. said is about the 73rd percentile for both. So he really is not all that fat for his length. He's just solid. He also did really well with his shots this time, which is good since last time was awful. He is really healthy and she said he looks great.

Dragon pic of the week

So, I'm a little late with the picture this week. Oh well. This is my little guy being entertained by the fan in our bedroom. He lays on the bed staring at the fan, then gets all excited and looks at me to make sure I am watching it too. Electricity is amazing.

Amazing Race Update

I know you are all worried that I didn't give my two cents on the Amazing Race this week, so here you go. I am beyond sad! Dave and Lori (a.k.a. The Nerds) have been eliminated. I really didn't think they would win, but their nerd-ness appealed to me. Plus, you don't often see a team that truly runs the race by themselves and doesn't really worry about what the other teams are doing. His parting words of "nerds rule", just made me laugh. Um....apparently they don't Dave cause you just got eliminated. And just a side note, he finally proposed to her after three years of dating. So I guess he still wants to be with her even though she failed to win him a million dollars. Now that's love.

I'm an addict

I believe that everyone should have a least one or two (or three, or four) addictions. Now I am not talking drugs, alcohol, sex (hehe, I said sex) or things like that. Although..... I am talking about little addictions that are short lived, but very intense and all consuming. Currently I have two such addictions. One, as you all know is The Amazing Race. I just don't feel complete if I miss a week. The other is E-bay. I am not a buyer, though I love to go see what kind of weird stuff people are selling. I am a seller. Right now I am only selling rubber stamp sets that I don't want anymore, but I keep trying to think of other stuff I can sell. I made my first official transaction yesterday. It was rather exciting. I seriously go there about 20 times a day just to see how my auctions are going. It is so exciting when someone bids on your item. I know, I am a nerd.

Dragon pic of the week

Drake has finally figured out that there is purpose in rolling over. But sometimes when he rolls he is holding on to something and it goes with him. This day he happened to be holding on to his blanket and when he rolled it ended up on his head. He thought it was pretty funny.
